The Soeverein is an impressive sight without equal. The boat pays homage to the East Indiamen of the Golden Age. The design is based on specific characteristics of these 17th century ships. The high construction toward the stern, up to 5 metres above the water, guarantees a magnificent view. She is crowned with a mirror that does justice to her air of royalty. The ambience of days gone by contrasts with her 5 star luxury. Everything important to you as a guest has been borne in mind. There is accommodation for 30 overnight guests, up to a maximum of 44 if required. A hundred guests can be accommodated with ease for day trips. You'll look back fondly on a trip filled with experiences.
From 1960 onwards, the ship carried freight across The Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. In 2006, full renovation was commenced. The ship is entirely being built follow the example of the sister ship 't Wapen fan Fryslân. The result, a beautiful luxury charter ship with warm and luxury emanation, was launched in May 2007. The pilot house, stern with wooden deck, and jacuzzi are the main showpieces of the ship. The ship disposes of 13 spacious en-suite cabins. The cabins are all fitted with two separate box spring beds, which are easily converted into a comfortable double bed. One of the thirteen cabins is extra spacious and has a table with chairs and flat-screen television. The ship disposes also of one single cabin, which is also fitted of a box spring bed. Capacity can be increased to 41 passengers thanks to an extra folding bed, included in each cabin. The sails can be operated manually and automatically. For day trips, the ship can carry up to eighty-five passengers! The Summertime is the only four-master in Holland, which alone makes it an impressive sight. You can use this barkentine for team building sessions and seminars, as well as a weekend away with staff or friends. This ship is also very suitable for youth tours. It has 6 sailing/rowing boats especially for those guests who opt for an active sailing trip of several days' duration. The Summertime also has a speedboat and RIB. There's plenty for everyone to do aboard the Summertime! The layout is stylish and provides all conveniences. There is a catering kitchen and good sanitation facilities. And naturally, a ship with a name like this is not without a bar with beer pump, cold drink dispenser, and a good sound system. The ship has plenty of space on deck as well as inside the cheerfully furnished deck cabin. Sail with the Antoinette and enjoy the weather and the water from the spacious deck. If you wish, the skipper will be happy to explain things so that you can help hoist the sails yourself. On deck there is plenty of seating for everyone.

The Antoinette is tastefully furnished with wood accents and copper lamps. The extra-large salon has enough space for any occasion. Sit down at the spacious tables to enjoy a delicious meal prepared in the ship’s galley.
Lie back and relax in a comfortable bed.
After an active day on the water, you can relax in one of the comfortable cabins on board the Antoinette. All cabins are equipped with a wash basin and hot water. With five showers and toilets on board, the Antoinette has adequate sanitary facilities for the whole group.
History.
The Antoinette is one of the longest traditionally-rigged ships in the fleet.
With a length of 41 metres and an exceptionally beautifully shaped bow and stern, the two-masted clipper 'Dageraad' is one of the largest and most original clippers in the Dutch charter fleet. Everything in the ship, both above and below deck, is spacious. The very roomy lounge, also perfect as a meeting room, is directly connected to the spacious cockpit. Thanks to the large windows, everyone is involved in the sailing of the ship. After a day of fanatic sailing, a delicious draught beer will quench any beer lover's thirst. In the excellently equipped galley, the most delicious meals are prepared with ease, either by the guests or the cook. The experienced, social crew easily sail this robust clipper on the IJsselmeer, the Wadden Sea or the Frisian lakes under almost any weather conditions. A night cruise is also one of the options, and the crew also has a great deal of experience sailing with youth groups.
Hester is a beautiful, long, two-masted clipper of nearly 40 metres in length. She was built as a freighter in 1898 and converted to a comfortable charter sailing boat in her second life. The great length of this boat is replicated below deck in a large smoking room with sunken TV/reading corner, which makes the boat particularly suited to small conferences and corporate gatherings. The spacious kitchen is separate so that you are not disturbed by noise. For active types, the boat has a speedboat + 6 person RIB that makes it particularly suited to large groups of young people.
With its 70 metres of length, ’t Wapen fan Fryslân is the largest two-master schooner in the Netherlands and offers a wide variety of possibilities. Its luxurious and comfortable atmosphere makes this ship is the perfect location for weddings, anniversaries, company outings, a day out with customers or a sailing trip with friends.

On deck you will notice the large pilothouse, which is not only equipped with a helm, but that also accommodates a stylish bar and seating area. The panorama windows offer a perfect all around view of the water. The outside deck has an outdoor cafe with draught beer taps and a second helm, allowing the ship to be navigated from outside as well. On the middle deck there is room to enjoy a lovely meal outdoors. The sundeck offers plenty of seating including comfortable deckchairs.

On board of this marvellous five star ship you will immediately notice its warm and luxurious atmosphere. The helm and the wooden deck are the ship’s showpieces. The spacious huts have been furnished with two separate box spring beds that can easily be transformed into a double bed. A folding bed in each hut allows the ship’s capacity to be expanded to meet the need. Each hut has its own shower, toilet and washbasin to make your trip extra comfortable.
History.
In 1965 the sailing ship 't Wapen fan Fryslân was launched as a freight ship. It transported all kinds of freight throughout the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. In 2003 the ship was totally renovated. The result is a beautiful, luxurious charter ship, which was launched in April of 2004.
Her imposing appearance makes the Vrijheid a real eye catcher in every harbour. However, the interior is also worthy of attention: warm mahogany and a nautical design create a maritime ambience. The stylish cabins, spacious and welcoming living area, and open plan kitchen are located below deck. The upper deck cabin has a cosy seating nook and bar with beer pump, a pleasant place to round off a day of sailing. In addition to these interior spaces, the boat also has ample deck seating, great for chatting or enjoying the view. The 'Grote Beer' was launched and christened the 'Ambulant' in 1911. Over the years, her masts and sails were removed and the ship was extended to 41 metres. She re-launched her sailing career as a three-master in 1994. Whenever the large, sturdy hull of this impressive three-masted 'klipper' enters a port, people ashore watch in fascination. The large cockpit offers a sheltered, child-safe seating area. Below deck, the interior radiates warmth and an authentic nautical ambience. The bar is particularly popular, boasting a separate seating area where many a (nautical) tale has been told. Catering arrangements, music and on-shore activities are all available on request. Putting all their nautical skills to the test, Skipper Piet van Roozendaal and his crew specialise in organising tailor-made programmes to suit your needs.
This ship used to be named ‘De Almere’
Thanks to its length of over 40 meters the Novel’s three-mast rig does it justice, even when it sets course high-to-the-wind.
Until 1993, this ship transported freight, mainly in the inland waterways of Belgium and the south of the Netherlands. After that, the Novel was converted into a charter ship.
The ship is equipped with a cosy passenger accommodation, which includes, among other things, a semi-open kitchen and playfully decorated dayroom. There is plenty of room to walk and sit on deck. Sun lovers can enjoy the sun to their heart’s content on top of the cabin roof.
The interior was fully renovated during the winter of 2007/2008. A lot of attention was paid to the handling of the sails.
Thanks to its lovely contours, the ‘Arbeid Adelt’ is a good and particularly pleasant sailing ship. Skippers Jan Jongkind and Els Vlaar have attempted to restore as much of the ship’s historic look as possible, whilst at the same time they have been able to offer the luxury of a cosy charter ship.
Its kitchen is equipped with all the present day modcons. And the lounge on deck can be transformed into a true sundeck in no time at all.

This sturdy two-masted 'klipper' was launched in 1897 in Middelburg, the Netherlands. She was designed to carry freight to the Zeeland islands. The shipbuilder succeeded in producing a seaworthy ship with a shallow draught, characteristics that still serve the 'Johanna Engelina' extremely well. For over fifteen years, the 'Johanna Engelina' has been providing guests with spacious accommodation for romantic sailing holidays, company training programs, active working holidays for schools and family get-togethers. Her generous dimensions and spaciously designed upper and lower deck allow maximum freedom of movement. Her solid, durable construction makes her exceptionally stable. You are in safe hands with skipper Laurens Sinaasappel and his crew.
The two-masted clipper Pouwel Jonas was built in 1897, and converted over a hundred years later into a luxury charter boat. With much love and good taste, a stylish and comfortable boat has been created, on which you immediately feel at home. Showers and toilets are very spacious and the living area has large windows that let in much natural light, even below deck. You can also relax on deck in the spacious seating area. With Makkum as the unique departure port, the Frisianislands are a short sail away. The boat has excellent sailing characteristics: if guests wish, the crew will race other sailing boats along the way. There's time for relaxation too. How about a bracing dive during an anchor drop? The 'Grootvorst' was originally built in 1896 as a river 'klipper', and was completely rebuilt in 1986 into a luxury passenger ship. With her spectacular three-masted rigging, she is always a joy to behold. The 'Grootvorst' is an atmospheric and well cared-for ship. This superbly easy to sail three-master offers plenty of room both in the saloon and on deck. Marvel at the views across the water from the comfortable decksaloon. Built in 1885, the 'Eensgezindheid' has been called 'the most beautiful 'clipper' of North-Western Europe'. For many years, her beauty was hidden in an Amsterdam canal. In 1989, she began gracing the Dutch waterways again. The legendary speed of the 'Eensgezindheid' gives her an impressive operational radius. Her beautiful hardwood foredeck and spacious child-friendly cockpit combine to maximise your sailing enjoyment. Below deck can be found a spacious, decorative living area and bar, comfortable cabins and a well equipped galley. Friendliness and cordiality are at the top of the list of priorities from the Skipper's Peter and Birgit and their crew. Guests are encouraged to sample life at the helm. The 'Fortuna' was built in 1913 as a cargo ship. Over the course of the years, she has undergone many transformations. In 2004/2005, the ship was completely renovated and the freight area redesigned in compliance with the latest comfort and safety regulations into a nautical retreat offering accommodation for 30 guests. The atmospheric stern is ideal for relaxing, enjoying the views or pulling your favourite pint of beer. The spacious, semi-circular layout makes the 'Fortuna' especially suited for presentations and meetings. The between-deck provides plenty of sunbathing and seating space and is extremely safe thanks to her high bulwarks. Daredevils are allowed to climb the mast (ask for permission first) using the climbing ropes. Enjoy the views, the fresh sea breeze and the sense of freedom. For those looking to burn even more calories, there is always the small sailboat, where the principles of sailings can be sampled on a slightly smaller scale. Skipper and host Willem Westerink offers you fantastic accommodation on this three-masted barkentine. Based on years of sailing with enthusiasts, as well as those who are more laid back, he decided to build a boat more in line with the requirements of his guests. The result is impressive. The Admiraal van Kinsbergen is particularly suited to formal and informal events with business associates, company outings, and weddings. The boat is equipped with spacious, comfortable double cabins that will make your stay aboard very pleasant indeed! "The clipper Anna van Elburgh was built in 1899 and carried her cargo until 1985, first as a sailing boat and later as a motor boat. Afterwards she served as a charter sailing boat again.
Those who wish, may take an active part in sailing. Lazing on the foredeck is an option too. Skipper Peter van de Berg has years of experience looking after guests aboard. He has all the time in the world to provide explanations regarding sailing and localities.
Below deck, there is a spacious living area with an open plan kitchen. The living area was renovated during winter 2005. It now has a new ventilation system and floors. The sanitation facilities have been replaced and there is an extra shower.

This sturdy clipper has undergone quite a metamorphosis since Rob Peetoom became its skipper and owner. The Avondrood still has a manageable two-masted rigging and optimal sailing characteristics makes her one of the fastest clippers in the fleet. However, consideration has also been given to those guests who are less fanatical about sailing: a convivial deck with sofas, a new seating area and spacious deck offer every opportunity to enjoy the sun and sailing. Below deck, the boat has a warm interior, where you can relax after a great day of sailing, with a pint from the pump if desired. The cushions on the sofas and chairs have been newly covered. In the cabins, all beds have new mattresses. In short, join Rob on the Avondrood and sail into the setting sun and into adventure!
Her sturdy appearance betrays the purpose for which the 'Morgana' was built in 1924: conquering the rough waters of northern Europe. In 1998 this seaworthy Wad- and Sont sailor was restored into a very spacious and comfortable three-master. With the high railings the deck is a safe and child-friendly place to be, and with the space and comfort, both on deck and in the former hold, this ship is extremely suitable for day trips, meetings, company training and seminars, as well as a holiday or family weekend. Skipper Bert Oldenhuis takes turns, and is familiar with all the possibilities the Wad has to offer: sailing along the seal banks, standing clear of the water in the loveliest places, playing with the tides.... Besides being an experienced skipper, he is also an excellent host, who makes sure that his guests will lack nothing.
Built in 1881, the 'Tsjerk Hiddes' is the oldest, largest three-masted 'stevenaak' still in service in the Netherlands. She originally served as a river vessel and was converted in 1993 into a fast, luxuriously designed three-master. This impressive three-masted ship combines luxury with excellent sailing characteristics and exudes authenticity and warmth. Located above deck with stunning views across the water, her tastefully furnished dayroom features comfortable leather sofas and a pleasant bar with draught beer. All cabins have bunk-beds and a private shower and toilet. The bottom bunks in the three-person cabins are double beds and the well equipped galley makes cooking child's play, either for you or the catering staff. Her beautifully wooden decks provide all the comfort you need, and the covered cockpit offers plenty of seating space. The robust three-mast clipper the ‘Linde' originates from the times when freight was transported by sailing ship. This can still be seen by the ship’s spacious layout. The ship’s hull, which was designed especially to carry freight, is noticeably wide and gives the ship its sturdy look.
Below deck plenty of daylight seeps through. The attractive dayroom is spacious and has a cosy bar and open kitchen. On deck you will be able to experience the spaciousness of the Linde too. There are plenty of seats on deck allowing all those on board to enjoy the sea and the wind in comfort.
With her wide bow, the ‘Linde’ ploughs through the waves with surprising stability and she will take you to some of the prettiest seaside towns. Skipper Andries will be delighted to tell you more about these beautiful places. For over 15 years he has been sailing the IJsselmeer and the unique Wadden Sea, which is now actually a World Heritage Site.
Built in 1894 as a double-masted freight ship, 'Nil Desperandum' was converted into a triple-masted gaff schooner in 1992. It's a sturdy, safe and easy-to-handle ship with little draught. Guests are assured of a pleasant stay aboard this fast and luxurious sailing ship. The wooden upper deck is great for just lazing around on while the teak seating area offers great shelter and the tastefully-furnished salon affords a superb view of activities on the water. The bar has beer on tap and skipper Ab can be guaranteed to lift the mood with his sea shanties, as he gently strums his guitar. The galley is well equipped with a large refrigerator and a dishwasher. Departing from Stavoren the options are varied: to Amsterdam or the Frisian Lakes. Ab's favourite is the Waddenzee where the ship can come to rest among the seals at ebb tide. Welcome on board!

On beautiful days this is also where you can enjoy a lovely meal outdoors. If the weather is a little less pleasant, the Allure’s deck tent offers the ultimate solution. With a tent that will cover the whole rear seating area right up to the entrance of the dayroom you will still be able to enjoy your sailing trip on deck.

The ship is spaciously laid out both on deck as well as below. With a large corridor leading to the huts, there is plenty of room to move on board of the Allure. Each hut has its own washbasin; the other sanitary facilities are situated in the hallways.
History.
The ship was originally launched in 1911 as a freight ship and later on it even operated as a crane ship. In 1997 the Allure was converted to function as a charter ship. Since then, the Allure has often been chosen to delightfully roam over the IJsselmeer, the Waddensea and the Frisian lakes.
The Brandaris, built in Delfzijl in 1905, sailed the coastal waters of Western Europe until the forties. After that, it served as mother ship to a Berlin sailing club. This top class boat has been sailing again since 1986 with an impressive rigging and masts proudly aloft. The layout is unique. The living area is sub-divided into an eating area and a sunken seating area. The cabins provide ample storage space. On deck there is plenty of room for walking and sitting. A high railing ensures optimal safety, for small children too.
A freighter until the eighties, the Boekanier returned to sailing in 1991. The long, slender hull and sophisticated sail design guarantee good sailing characteristics. This clipper offers luxurious passenger accommodation and a spacious, comfortable smoking room. The separate seating area and beer pump are unique. The Inspiratie, is a two-masted clipper with character. Open and airy, with the luxury of convenience assured. It's not just the boat that offers a warm welcome, you'll experience the same from the skipper and his mate. It's not where you're going, but how you get there that is fascinating. No two journeys are the same. It's wonderful to see the effect the Inspiratie has on guests. The adventure begins the moment you embark. The boat is one of the faster vessels on the waters. You'll have much to talk about long after sailing this majestic, luxurious boat.
The two-masted clipper 'Aegir' was built in 1904 according to Frisian size , which means that it can easily sail through Frisian locks and inland waters. From 1983 to 1986 skipper and owner Jaap Gomes restored the original hull to a comfortable, but, more importantly, good sailing ship that has sailed out of Harlingen since then. A unique detail is the original hatch deck, which makes it possible to remove the roof of the very spacious mess-room, letting in a cool breeze on warm summer nights. Because the entire ship is equipped with central heating, many companies have undertaken a trip to the islands in November and December. With the aid of the crew, the extra sails and over 20 years of experience in the person of skipper Jaap, the boat sails along the most beautiful places on the Frisean Sea. Whoever meets the challenge of the Wad (the Dutch mud flats) with Jaap is sure to experience an adventurous and active sailing trip, followed by relaxation with delicious refreshments, thanks to the beer tap and the fish caught on the trip.
People sometimes ask us beforehand: what shall we do on board? But as soon as you board the ‘Hannus’ this question does not fly. The wind’s blowing, the ropes are creaking and the horizon is calling you. Depending on the weather you will set out the course in collaboration with the crew. Then you will hoist the sails; take place behind the rudder or tug at the ropes. You will reef the sails or learn what that is.
In the meantime you eat, drink and talk to each other while the clouds, the water and the green banks go by. How fast does the ‘Hannus’ run? We can test it if you like, hold on. Or do you feel more for a calm leisurely trip? That’s an option too. Not one day is the same on board of the ‘Hannus’ .

The 'Nirwana' was built in 1910 as a single-masted 'klipper' and christened the 'Neeltje'. She was converted into a beautiful two-masted 'klipper' in 1991. She is an exceedingly fast ship, built with quality, privacy, hygiene and safety in mind. The 'Nirwana' has an extra on-deck saloon, and also provides generous living accommodation, both above and below deck. As well as being extremely child-friendly, the ship has all the ingredients to assure adults of a pleasurable, safe and sporting sailing challenge. The 'Nirwana' and the 'Waterwolf' were built as sister ships. Their identical design, ambiance, deck layout and sailing characteristics enable larger groups to sail two equally impressive ships. The classical lines of this two-masted clipper belie a cosy, comfortable boat. After its launch in 1912, the Sûdwester carried her cargo on the inland waterways of Western Europe. Since being discovered in spring 1997, much work has gone into restoring her original rigging. Below deck, the interior of the Sûdwester is durable and rustic. Sanitation complies with modern standards.
The 'Zephyr' was built in 1931 as a 'motorgaljas' and christened the 'Bente'. She sailed the Baltic Sea until 1953 and then carried mixed cargo in the Norwegian fjords until 1992. Afterwards, she came into Dutch hands and was extensively rebuilt into a passenger sailing ship. Kees van Zon comes from an old sailing family.When he joined his father on board, he first sailed at sea for a few years. In 1978, he went into traditional charter sailing. In 1995, he built the two-masted clipper Zuiderzon, a comfortable boat with good sailing characteristics. You'll soon feel at home on this boat. The 'Waterwolf' was built in 1899 as a two-masted 'klipper' and christened the 'Joma'. In 1997, she was completely rebuilt and fitted with a rigging system that can be extended to 1000 m2. She is an exceedingly fast ship, built with quality, privacy, hygiene and safety in mind. The 'Waterwolf' is a luxurious and comfortable ship with a classic appearance. She has a proven track record at many races, and even boasts an extra saloon on deck. The spacious galley, sanitary facilities and cabins, with two-metre long berths, guarantee a comfortable stay. The clipper Esperanza was launched in 1902 as a sailing freight clipper. After an extensive conversion in 1991, the ship was commissioned as a charter vessel. Today, the crew of the Esperanza enjoys taking you with them on a wonderful sailing trip over the IJsselmeer or Wadden Sea, for instance.

The 'Strijd' is the only two-masted 'klipper' in the Netherlands to boast a semi-covered cockpit, providing shelter from the elements. Rina and Bert Baars have managed the 'Amazone' since 1994. Together they do everything they can to ensure that all their guests have a pleasant and comfortable time on the water. After construction in 1902, the 'Anna Trijntje' carried a great deal of cargo. Her authentic character has been remained and this 100-year-old ship sails just as easily as at the start. The 'Anna Trijntje' is listed in the register of 'Sailing Monuments'. For skipper Stefan van der Valk, fanatic sailing does not mean sailing as fast as possible, but rather trying out with guests all the possibilities the ship and sailing area offer. If at all possible, beaching the ship on the tidal mudflats of the Frisian Sea should be included. The manageable quality of the ship becomes extra apparent when sailing canals and lakes. The skipper is happy to give sailing instructions, but only wants to support the group leadership in their task. He likes for his guests and himself to form the crew of the 'Anna Trijntje'.

The 'Zuiderzee' is the only original, currently sailing two-masted schooner in the Netherlands. The sailing area of this schooner is the IJsselmeer, Baltic and North Sea. In 1992, the 'Zuiderzee' was completely renovated and luxuriously furnished. She is listed in the 'Sailing Monuments' register. The crew of the 'Zuiderzee' love to sail and allow their guests to take an active part. This includes such things as hoisting the sails, standing at the helm and helping to make navigational decisions. All questions are answered and an extra square sail can be hoisted for enthusiastic sailors. The 'Zuiderzee' is both seaworthy and capable of sailing on the IJsselmeer. She sails with various groups: schools going on study-week trips, business associates going on day trips, families with children taking sailing trips. The Alexandra, a robust Zuid-Holland river clipper, was built at the renowned Duivendijk shipyard in Lekkerkerk in 1895. The fast sailing ship was converted in 1932 already. The sails and masts had to make way for an engine. After years of sailing as a freighter, the ship was used as a houseboat from the ’70s until the ’90s.
Since another conversion during the ’90s, the ship has been in use as a charter vessel. Below deck is a very homely daytime accommodation area and spacious two-person huts with washing facilities. The afterdeck has plenty of space to sit as you enjoy the wonderful views or take the rudder into your own hands, should you wish to. There’s nothing better than steering a big ship like this through the waves.

The 'Panta Rhei' was built in Maurik in 1903. It was used as a cargo ship until it was renovated by Peter Fokkens in 1997 and deployed as a passenger vessel. Peter is in his element as skipper. Not only is he a very competent sailor, but he is only satisfied if his guests are enjoying themselves. The two-masted 'klipper' 'Panta Rhei' is beautifully designed. Her interior radiates warmth, light and comfort. This ship is extremely easy to sail. As a motor cargo ship, she carried cement to Utrecht, the Netherlands, until she was rerigged and re-christened the 'Nooit Volmaeckt' in 1969. The 'Nooit Volmaeckt' is suitable for all ages. Due in part to the ship's sophisticated rigging system, children and semi-invalid guests are welcome to participate in all sailing activities. The spritsail barge Noordster was built in 1913 in Foxhol, and like so many Groning barges, transported wood and other materials from the Baltics to Holland. The boat has been completely renovated and provided with a sporty, cheerful layout. Without the obstruction of fixed bridges, the mast is easy to strike. The Noordster sails well it has successfully competed in various regattas. Skipper Erik Smolders enjoys sailing to theFrisian Seato fish or harvest wild mussels.
The authentic single-masted 'Jacoba' was built in 1898 as a sailing cargo ship. After extensive renovation, this elegant 'klipper' was put into service by NAUPAR in 1990. Jos van Wijngaarde has been the proud owner and skipper of the 'Jacoba' since 2004. The saloon, galley, large bar with bar stools, and the spacious cabins of the 'Jacoba' exude a warm, nautical ambience. Hasselter barge built in 1910 especially for transport in peat bogs. In 1926, the boat was motorised and carried cargo until the end of the sixties. Equipped with a two-masted rigging, the `Deo Volente´has been sailing the IJsselmeer and the Waddenzee since 1972 as a charter boat. The boat's shape and its sail surface area of 240m² make the `Deo Volente´a stable and fast vessel! The living area, completely renovated in 1997, comprises 2 levels. The lower level, with a fully equipped kitchen, also has 6 sleeping cabins with small seating areas, for a total of 18 persons. The Parodie, one of the smaller boats in our fleet, is suited to trips on narrow inland waterways. Nevertheless, this boat, which is well over 100 years old, was originally built for the open seas. This is clear to see from its sturdy exterior. There is sufficient headroom throughout. The boat has an ambient, wood panelled interior, well-equipped open plan kitchen, modern sleeping cabins and good sanitation facilities. The living area has tables that can be arranged into a single large table around which everyone can socialise. This extraordinary 'paviljoentjalk' was built in 1904 in Lemmer, the Netherlands. In the winter of 1996/1997, she was fully renovated and converted into the most luxurious and comfortable sailing ship of her type. The original wooden deckhouse was preserved in this renovation. The 'Pelikaan' is an attractive, comfortable, fast ship with a pleasant cockpit and a great deal of deck space. Below deck, directly adjacent to the cockpit, is an extremely spacious galley and charming saloon, furnished with two cosy tables and chairs and appealing pine woodwork. The 'Vrouw Leentje' was built in 1894 in Krimpen aan de IJssel, the Netherlands. She is a real 'tjalk', also called a 'Zeeuwse Poon', and was used for barge sailing on the often rough Zeeland waterways. She was thoroughly restored in 1996, and meets all the latest comfort and safety standards. During the day, the casement doors and windows in the saloon of the 'Vrouw Leentje' allow guests to enjoy the fresh outdoors. In the evening, the saloon is a pleasant spot to relax after all the activities. Guests are in direct contact with the helmsman in the enclosed, child-friendly guest cockpit. This sturdy, seaworthy ship was designed in 1883 for the navy. The 'MD3' was used by the torpedo corps for laying mines and pilot and rescue services at sea. Subsequently, the ship was used for fishing in the Zeeland waterways from 1923 till 1970. The wide, shallow hull shape with its huge stem beam and at least one-hundred-year-old mast make the 'MD3' a unique ship. Below deck as well, the ship exudes in all her simplicity an old-time ambience. The 'MD3' is a ship with character, where originality, safety and atmosphere come before luxury. From 1923, the Zeelandia served as a shell fishing boat, mainly off the coast of South Holland. She has always sailed well due to her streamlined hull. The sophisticated sail design added the necessary stability. The boat recently underwent thorough refurbishment and now offers additional conveniences such as an extra shower and toilet, and adequate personal storage space in the double cabins. Although the boat is equipped with modern conveniences, it remains sporty with a nautical feel. The small wheelhouse provides shelter from inclement weather. The Colin Archer 'Baltic' was reconstructed from a model of the 'Vesta', which was built for the Danish royal family in 1892. This seaworthy yacht with classic lines was officially launched in 1991. After several years of sailing on the Mediterranean Sea, from now on the 'Baltic' will sail in the more northerly waters in the Netherlands and Great Britain. Skipper Jaap van Greevenbroek is a fanatic, experienced sailor. He likes guests to help with the activities on board, which are great fun on this ship. On deck, in the sheltered cockpit or deckhouse, the sufficient sitting area enables guests to pleasantly relax and enjoy the tranquillity of the water.
