Alida Hoeve

Alida Hoeve

The Alida Hoeve is a cheese farm and clog factory in Volendam, a village in North Holland known for its fishing culture and traditional costumes. The farm is part of Henri Willig, a family business that has been producing sheep and goat cheese since 1974. The cheese is made from fresh milk from its own cows, sheep and goats, and is prepared using natural ingredients in an artisanal way.

You are welcome to experience how the cheese is made and in the shop you can try and buy all varieties. Such as Edam, Gouda, herb cheese and smoked cheese. All equally delicious and a nice gift or souvenir to take home!

About cheese farm Alida Hoeve

Clog makers De Vriendschap

Nice to combine with the Alida Hoeve is the clog factory next door. Clogs are still made by hand here from poplar or willow wood, and they are painted with typical Dutch motifs, creating unique and authentic pairs. During a visit to the clog factory, you can get a guided tour and see how the clogs are made. And, of course, it is possible to buy your own decorated pair in the souvenir shop.
