From 1960 onwards, the ship carried freight across The Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. In 2006, full renovation was commenced.
The ship is entirely being built follow the example of the sister ship 't Wapen fan Fryslân. The result, a beautiful luxury charter ship with warm and luxury emanation, was launched in May 2007. The pilot house, stern with wooden deck, and jacuzzi are the main showpieces of the ship. The ship disposes of 13 spacious en-suite cabins. The cabins are all fitted with two separate box spring beds, which are easily converted into a comfortable double bed. One of the thirteen cabins is extra spacious and has a table with chairs and flat-screen television. The ship disposes also of one single cabin, which is also fitted of a box spring bed. Capacity can be increased to 41 passengers thanks to an extra folding bed, included in each cabin. The sails can be operated manually and automatically.
For day trips, the ship can carry up to eighty-five passengers! Skipper Joris de Wit and his crew are true all-rounders, and look forward to welcoming you aboard of this impressive three-master schooner!
