The spritsail barge Noordster was built in 1913 in Foxhol, and like so many Groning barges, transported wood and other materials from the Baltics to Holland. The boat has been completely renovated and provided with a sporty, cheerful layout. Without the obstruction of fixed bridges, the mast is easy to strike. The Noordster sails well it has successfully competed in various regattas. Skipper Erik Smolders enjoys sailing to theFrisian Seato fish or harvest wild mussels.

Extending your trip Its possible for trips to be extended. Contact us for a tailored quote.
Alternative departure harbour Its also possible to use a departure harbour other than the base harbours. If you do, you should take into account the vessels crossing time, which will either be charged for or form part of your trip itinerary. That charge is €60 per hour for vessels being prepared for trips of more than one day.
Bedding and towels Trips of more than one day always include the provision of sheets, pillows and pillow cases. Towels can be hired on board for €4 each. You can arrange this with us up to three weeks before departure.
Cleaning If the cleaning of the vessel after the trip is not included in the rental price (see specifications menu), you can choose to carry out the cleaning yourself or pay to have it done. You can pay the captain on board, or have it added it to the charge for services if you are paying for catering. Cleaning on Saturdays and Sundays is subject to a €20 supplement.
