The 'klipper' 'Vriendschap' was launched in 1905. She carried cargo until 1983, initial only under sail and later under motor power. In 1985, the 'Vriendschap' was equipped with new rigging and completely converted into a comfortable passenger ship.
The 'Vriendschap' is the perfect ship for active sailors. As all the sails are hoisted by hand, guests can indulge themselves aboard this two-masted 'klipper'. When the weather conditions are right, the extra sails can be hoisted to maximise your sailing enjoyment. The spacious saloon and comfortable cockpit ensure you will soon feel at home.
The skipper is more than happy to explain the finer points of navigating, and naturally you will be encouraged to take your place at the helm. Welcome aboard the 'Vriendschap'!

Extending your trip Its possible for trips to be extended. Contact us for a tailored quote.
Alternative departure harbour Its also possible to use a departure harbour other than the base harbours. If you do, you should take into account the vessels crossing time, which will either be charged for or form part of your trip itinerary. That charge is €60 per hour for vessels being prepared for trips of more than one day.
Bedding and towels Trips of more than one day always include the provision of sheets, pillows and pillow cases. Towels can be hired on board for €4 each. You can arrange this with us up to three weeks before departure.
Cleaning If the cleaning of the vessel after the trip is not included in the rental price (see specifications menu), you can choose to carry out the cleaning yourself or pay to have it done. You can pay the captain on board, or have it added it to the charge for services if you are paying for catering. Cleaning on Saturdays and Sundays is subject to a €20 supplement.
