The 'Vrouw Leentje' was built in 1894 in Krimpen aan de IJssel, the Netherlands. She is a real 'tjalk', also called a 'Zeeuwse Poon', and was used for barge sailing on the often rough Zeeland waterways. She was thoroughly restored in 1996, and meets all the latest comfort and safety standards.
During the day, the casement doors and windows in the saloon of the 'Vrouw Leentje' allow guests to enjoy the fresh outdoors. In the evening, the saloon is a pleasant spot to relax after all the activities. Guests are in direct contact with the helmsman in the enclosed, child-friendly guest cockpit. Fans of the Frisian islands may wish to request Medemblik as their departure port.
Whether you are a fanatical sailor or a lover of luxury holidays, you are guaranteed to enjoy the fascinating, varied sailing trips aboard the 'Vrouw Leentje'.

Extending your trip Its possible for trips to be extended. Contact us for a tailored quote.
Alternative departure harbour Its also possible to use a departure harbour other than the base harbours. If you do, you should take into account the vessels crossing time, which will either be charged for or form part of your trip itinerary. That charge is €60 per hour for vessels being prepared for trips of more than one day.
Bedding and towels Trips of more than one day always include the provision of sheets, pillows and pillow cases. Towels can be hired on board for €4 each. You can arrange this with us up to three weeks before departure.
Cleaning If the cleaning of the vessel after the trip is not included in the rental price (see specifications menu), you can choose to carry out the cleaning yourself or pay to have it done. You can pay the captain on board, or have it added it to the charge for services if you are paying for catering. Cleaning on Saturdays and Sundays is subject to a €20 supplement.
