This sturdy 'klipper' started carrying coal and manure between North Holland and Friesland in 1906. Following extensive renovation work, she was converted into a spacious and luxurious passenger ship, and now frequently sails to both provinces. With her spacious saloon, beautiful sunken cockpit, high railing and wide gangways, the 'Welvaart' is an extremely comfortable and safe ship. All cabins (mostly twin cabins) have direct access to a shower and toilet.
The 'Welvaart' has fantastic sailing characteristics, maximising guest enjoyment. Skipper Wopko Faber is a born sailor. His vast sailing experience and relaxed demeanour provide guests with the perfect home from home. You are guaranteed a warm and pleasant stay aboard this sporty 'klipper'.

Extending your trip Its possible for trips to be extended. Contact us for a tailored quote.
Alternative departure harbour Its also possible to use a departure harbour other than the base harbours. If you do, you should take into account the vessels crossing time, which will either be charged for or form part of your trip itinerary. That charge is €60 per hour for vessels being prepared for trips of more than one day.
Bedding and towels Trips of more than one day always include the provision of sheets, pillows and pillow cases. Towels can be hired on board for €4 each. You can arrange this with us up to three weeks before departure.
Cleaning If the cleaning of the vessel after the trip is not included in the rental price (see specifications menu), you can choose to carry out the cleaning yourself or pay to have it done. You can pay the captain on board, or have it added it to the charge for services if you are paying for catering. Cleaning on Saturdays and Sundays is subject to a €20 supplement.
