The 'Zephyr' was built in 1931 as a 'motorgaljas' and christened the 'Bente'. She sailed the Baltic Sea until 1953 and then carried mixed cargo in the Norwegian fjords until 1992. Afterwards, she came into Dutch hands and was extensively rebuilt into a passenger sailing ship.
The beautiful two-masted schooner 'Zephyr' has a cosy, light, luxury saloon, finished in blue and mahogany. The galley is equipped with all conveniences, including a beer tap. The 'Zephyr' can easily sail the Frisian Sea, the IJsselmeer and the ocean. Jan and Ingrid create with their guests a perfect combination of relaxation, sightseeing and sporting activities. Scenic sailing trips to idyllic locations, and anchoring and beaching on tidal mudflats are all options. They will be happy to show you the ropes and explain everything to you on board.

Extending your trip Its possible for trips to be extended. Contact us for a tailored quote.
Alternative departure harbour Its also possible to use a departure harbour other than the base harbours. If you do, you should take into account the vessels crossing time, which will either be charged for or form part of your trip itinerary. That charge is €60 per hour for vessels being prepared for trips of more than one day.
Bedding and towels Trips of more than one day always include the provision of sheets, pillows and pillow cases. Towels can be hired on board for €4 each. You can arrange this with us up to three weeks before departure.
Cleaning If the cleaning of the vessel after the trip is not included in the rental price (see specifications menu), you can choose to carry out the cleaning yourself or pay to have it done. You can pay the captain on board, or have it added it to the charge for services if you are paying for catering. Cleaning on Saturdays and Sundays is subject to a €20 supplement.
