Welcome on board the steilsteven barge ‘Zorg en Vlijt’. Choose your own destination and make a beautiful trip on the Dutch waters. Would you like to visit a lively harbour town or an interesting museum, or do you prefer an active sailing trip on the IJsselmeer? Whatever you choose, it will be a trip to remember for a long time!
Enjoying weather and water. On deck of the barge Zorg en Vlijt you will enjoy a fine sailing trip. Find yourself a comfortable place on deck and watch the view pass by. Would you prefer to take the helm yourself? The crew will be glad to tell you all about the ins and outs of sailing a ship like this. In the cockpit you can sit all together for a nice drink on deck.
Sociability on board. On board the barge Zorg en Vlijt you will find a comfortable day room where you can all sit together. Prepare your favourite dishes in the galley and find yourself a place on the comfortable couch to enjoy a tasty meal. When it is too cold outside, you can sit inside to enjoy the long evenings on board together with your companions.
Staying the night on board the Zorg en Vlijt. After a long day on the water you can stay the night on board the Zorg en Vlijt. Find yourself a comfortable bed in one of the cabins for a good night’s sleep. All cabins have running water and central heating. After a relaxing night on board this barge you will feel refreshed when you get up!
History. The barge Zorg en Vlijt was launched in 1929. After a thorough refurbishment the ship now sails the Dutch waters as a comfortable passenger ship.

Extending your trip Its possible for trips to be extended. Contact us for a tailored quote.
Alternative departure harbour Its also possible to use a departure harbour other than the base harbours. If you do, you should take into account the vessels crossing time, which will either be charged for or form part of your trip itinerary. That charge is €60 per hour for vessels being prepared for trips of more than one day.
Bedding and towels Trips of more than one day always include the provision of sheets, pillows and pillow cases. Towels can be hired on board for €4 each. You can arrange this with us up to three weeks before departure.
Cleaning If the cleaning of the vessel after the trip is not included in the rental price (see specifications menu), you can choose to carry out the cleaning yourself or pay to have it done. You can pay the captain on board, or have it added it to the charge for services if you are paying for catering. Cleaning on Saturdays and Sundays is subject to a €20 supplement.
