NAUPAR’s ships.
In bygone days, the ships sailed the seven seas and inland waterways functioning as cargo ships and fishing boats. Today, they are completely restored and fitted with all modern comforts. All of NAUPAR’s ships are traditional sailing ships. With our varied fleet, there will always a ship to match your wishes and objectives. From groups of 8 to 160 persons, from the smallest tjalk to the largest of schooners, from a sporty clipper to a deluxe windjammer. Also, NAUPAR can offer you a ‘mirror return ship (Dutch: spiegelretourschip) and Holland’s only four-masted ship.
Daytrip ships.
Those ships that are especially designed to sail daytrips only do not have berths on board. These ships can only be rented out for daytrips. The ships have a spacious dayroom, toilets, hot and cold running water, swimsuits, central heating, 220/230 Volt, and a Hi-fi set. Most of our ships also have AV-equipment on board to be used during presentations. On your daytrip as well, NAUPAR will be very pleased to arrange the catering for you.

Multiple-daytrip ships.
All ships that have berths on board are suited to sail a multiple-daytrip with. Would you like to enjoy your trip in luxury on board of a five-starred ship with two-person cabins with box spring beds and a private shower and toilet? Or would you rather go back to basic on a ship with two- to six-person cabins and shared showers and toilets?
On board, you will find a well-equipped kitchen, a spacious dayroom, and central heating. Hot and cold running water, swimsuits, 220/230 Volt, and a Hi-fi set. On board of our luxurious ships, AV equipment is standardly available.

Crew.
The ships are rented out including their crew. The crew members have their own, private cabins on board. Besides Dutch, they also speak German and English. In addition, some even speak French. All skippers (m/f) are certified sailors and have been educated at a nautical college.

The three-masted Abel Tasman was designed under the motto of sailing and partying. It has become a unique party boat, fitted out in the style of a 'grand café': dark wood panelling, much copper and a solid wood floor.
The boat has a congenial bar, lounge, cosy seating nook in the wheel house, good sanitation facilities and naturally, an excellent kitchen.This makes the Abel Tasman ideal for family and staff parties, corporate anniversaries and staff motivational days . The high, enclosed bulwark makes the boat safe for little ones. The spacious decks and wide gangways offer unrestricted access to those less steady on their feet.

The 'Willem Barentsz' was put into service in 1931. She was converted into a luxury ship for day trips in 1988, when she became the first official 'floating' wedding location. With her mighty sails, bright white colour and teak superstructure, the 'Willem Barentsz' is a majestic sight to behold. Amidships is the deckhouse, fitted with a cheerful bar that looks out across the water. The practical benches and chairs in both salons enhance the character of the saloons and allow guests to sample the culinary delights of the galley in pure comfort. The wheelhouse is big enough to accommodate guests keen to watch the skipper or learn more about navigation and steering.

In 1992, the 'Frisius van Adel' was completely remodelled into a luxury sailing ship, specially designed for day trips.
This elegant klipper has a modern kitchen, bar, dance floor, sound system and four toilets. The spacious saloon can be divided into two separate rooms. The various seating accommodations on deck provide additional room for relaxation. Aboard the 'Frisius van Adel' one's inner man is refreshed according to Frisian tradition. You can choose from different specialities like the 'Klûntafel' or a barbecue feast aboard.
Your guests can also be provided with an original souvenir in remembrance of your sailing day. Skipper Jappie Bandstra has 20 years of experience as a skipper and competitive sailor, and he is also highly capable of putting together an active, creative programme, for example with 'team building' in mind. The ship is extraordinarily well-suited for both company outings and parties for family, friends and clubs.
The 'Toekomst' is the biggest ever 'tjalk' to be built in the Province of Friesland. She was put into service in 2001 and made her maiden voyage in the spring of 2002.
The 'Toekomst' (future) of skipper/owner Peter Velthuis is a brand new ship. She was designed with the classic design of the 'zeetjalk' in mind and the stringent demands of modern-day users. This is a ship to be reckoned with ideal for true sailsmen as well as armchair enthusiasts keen to build a future with their business contacts. Ideal for treating long-standing colleagues or fellow club founders, or a loved one who deserves to be put in the limelight. Or simply for a day out.
On the ‘Selene’ you will experience the traditional sailing of times gone by combined with modern-day luxury. A unique feature are the large portholes which are situated just ten centimetres above the water line. This means that when you are sitting inside you can admire wonderful views over the water and during the actual sailing you can sometimes catch a glimpse of what it is like under water. As sturdy and robust as the ‘Selene’ is on the outside, the inside is beautiful, natural and delicate. It has been designed in the style of a modern beach and lounge club, with a light-coloured oak floor and magnificent interior carpentry.
The ambiance is relaxed and modern, yet still retains the charm of the ship’s past life. From barbecueing to dining and from meeting to relaxing. Thanks to the ship’s flexible layout, nothing is impossible.
Skipper Edith will ensure that your day runs smoothly. This spontaneous and creative hostess with an eye for detail makes every day on the ‘Selene’ a unique experience. It comes as no surprise then that Edith has enjoyed a 15-year love affair with her ship!
Experienced sailors get very enthusiastic about the Carpe Diem. The decorative features, teak decks and high rigging all combine to make the Carpe Diem look truly elegant. The ship can sail at quite a pace, while the wide hull ensures stability and safety. Leo, the skipper and host, has 25 years' experience and is an accomplished sailor, and the whole crew will be on hand to make sure you and your guests thoroughly enjoy yourselves.
You will have the opportunity of sailing in comfort, including being served lunch and dinner. For a relaxing day with business associates, an exciting company outing, or a stimulating meeting, we can offer it all. Seize the day, hoist the sails! You do not need any experience to help the skipper and his crew hoist the sails, connect the clews, tack or gybe. The crew will be happy to familiarise you with a world where ropes are transformed into clews and halyards. But if you prefer, you can just relax and enjoy the voyage.
The day can be varied with a walk along the beach, or a visit to a museum, etc. The ship is highly suitable for corporate hospitality, company outings, teambuilding, meetings, weddings, wedding anniversaries, parties, and celebrations.
The Carpe Diem has also been officially designated by the Waterland local authority as a wedding location in Monnickendam. You therefore have the chance of saying I do on board the romantic Carpe Diem in an intimate setting. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner on board. The 'LE 7' was completely rebuilt and made its maiden voyage in 2004. The 'LE 7', which we affectionately call 'Brandende Liefde' or Burning Passion is a lemsteraak of the fishing vessel type. It was originally designed to winch nets closer towards the fishermen and to take the fish, still alive, to harbour.
Fresher than fresh. And: the faster the better. A century later sailors rediscovered these sturdy and refined ships, as elegant and as fast as any designed for racing. They are the sapphires of the sea. Rounded bows, curved bulkheads.
The Dutch lemsteraak is not just beautiful but has also superb seagoing qualities. Its sunken lower open deck provides stability in choppy weather, and is the scene for a relaxing drink. But go amidships and our sailing traditions of hospitality and friendliness make sure you have good time. NAUPAR offers a variety of lemsteraak ships, all of which are identical from a nautical point of view. Unique in the annals of Dutch shipbuilding, it means these boats are perfect for competitions. Your race could not be fairer: win or lose, it is up to you. Get the teams thinking and pulling together. Who will be the first across the finishing line?
This beautifully designed and extremely fast 'lemsteraak' was used by Dutch fishermen around 1900. The 'LE 196' was fully converted in 2000 and is especially suitable for one-day charter trips. Her perfect sailing characteristics and manoeuvrability make the 'LE 196 - Grote Jager' ideal for sailing competitions, as well as adventurous trips across the IJsselmeer.
Guests are more than welcome to step behind the helm. The spacious cockpit offers plenty of room, guaranteeing a genuine 'hands-on' sailing experience. The cockpit protects passengers against heavy winds and is the ideal place to have lunch. The 'LE196' is the ship to be for all your team building exercises and festive occasions!
