Eating delicious food, playing the piano and playing games

You can cook the most delicious meals together in the fully fitted galley of the Aagtje, with a professional oven, freezer and two large refrigerators. For example, the mussels that you have caught! The convivial saloon includes features such as a piano, television, audio installation, a small library and a collection of group games. Finally, there is a washing machine, a dryer and a large barbecue on board. Sufficient ingredients for a pleasant stay.

Sleeping on the Aagtje

You sleep in attractive cabins – six for two persons and two for three persons. Every cabin is fitted with comfortable beds, a 220 Volt connection for small electric devices and a wash basin with hot and cold water. There are three toilets and two showers in the gangway. This makes Aagtje suitable for eighteen persons for trips lasting several days.

History

In 1902, Aagtje Klugkist had a robust single-masted ‘tjalk’ called the Aagtje built for her seven sons. Until 1942, one of these sons carried cargo on the Zuiderzee and the Oostzee, after which the vessel lay derelict for an extended period of time. In 1981, the Aagtje was purchased by the current owners Janette Sluik and Jan Bouman. The ship was completely restored, and after a great deal of blood, sweat and tears the Aagtje took to the water again in 1991. It had undergone a complete transformation and then continued life as a comfortable two-master for passengers.
