National Airborne Museum Aviodrome

Aviodrome, is located at the airport of Lelystad. The museum tells the history of civil aviation. There are more than 100 aircraft in the museum, including aircraft by the famous Dutch designers Koolhoven and Fokker.

History of Aviodrome

The National Aviation Museum Foundation was founded in 1955 by various organisations, including the airline KLM and the Fokker aircraft factory. With only seven aircraft, the museum provisionally closed in 1967 for space reasons. More than 30 years later, in 2003, the former Aviodome Aviation Museum from Schiphol was converted into the National Aviodrome Aircraft Museum at Lelystad Airport.

About Aviodrome

This museum, which is fun for young and old, takes you on an exciting journey through time and teaches you more about the history of aviation. The museum also offers a flight simulator and a detailed replica of Schiphol from 1928. For the children there is a playground in the entrance hall and in the garden, which fits the theme of aviation.
