Rare bird species breeding at Marker Wadden and you can watch!

Lelystad, 12 September 2017 – Good news for birdwatchers! The new Marker Wadden has already proven to be a bird paradise and offers a safe place to brood to more than 2,000 breeding pairs. Natuurmonumenten (Society for the Preservation of Nature) is very pleased about this, as there are not only an enormous number of birds, but also species that rarely breed anywhere in the Netherlands anymore.

Visit Marker Wadden

Starting next year, Marker Wadden will be open to the public, when bird lovers can indulge their passion. On 23 and 24 September, NAUPAR is offering a unique opportunity: the Abel Tasman will be sailing to Marker Wadden on both days (Saturday and Sunday). This is a one-time offer organised in collaboration with Natuurmonumenten. The island open to visitors is now officially still a building site. If you sign up for this fantastic trip, we recommend wearing hiking boots, walking shoes or boots.

All-inclusive sailing trip

The trip on board the Abel Tasman includes a delicious lunch, as well as snacks during the trip back, not to mention a cup of coffee or tea on arrival. You can sign up via the Naupar website or by calling +31 (0)88 – 25 25 000. The number of available spots is limited, so don't wait too long to register! Are you a member of Natuurmonumenten or the ANWB? You’ll also receive a discount off this trip!

Won’t you sail with us on 23 or 24 September?
