This sturdy two-masted clipper was launched in 1897 in Middelburg, the Netherlands. She was designed to carry freight to the Zeeland islands. The shipbuilder succeeded in producing a seaworthy ship with a shallow draught, characteristics that still serve the 'Johanna Engelina' extremely well.
For over fifteen years, the 'Johanna Engelina' has been providing guests with spacious accommodation for romantic sailing holidays, company training programs, active working holidays for schools and family get-togethers.
Her generous dimensions and spaciously designed upper and lower deck allow maximum freedom of movement. Her solid, durable construction makes her exceptionally stable.
