• Introducing: Julia Cornelissen, captain of the Hester


    Lelystad, 1 July 2016 – Today we are introducing you to Julia Cornelissen; the (as of this year) captain of the Hester. Before this position, she worked as a sailor for two years and attended the Enkhuizer Nautical College in the winter: "That is where I met Nikki Timmerman and he was looking for a captain and mate for on the Hester”, says Julia.

    Lelystad,11 September 2015 – It is now a well known fact. Being aboard the three-masted barque Stedemaeght guarantees you a magnificent day on the water. So little wonder that NAUPAR"s flagship in 2015 has received the Zoover Award Silver. But beside all of the wonderful things that the Stedemaeght has to offer its guests – such as crossing the Ijsselmeer under full sail, the cherry wood and mahogany furnishing in the interior and the strikingly spacious deck – there is, of course, much more to say about this distinctive vessel. For example, where did its name come from?

    Lelystad, 19 August – Every month we introduce you to one of our skippers, and this month is the turn of Christiaan Prins, the enthusiastic skipper of the Welvaart. This impressive clipper has now been sailing for more than 100 years. First between North Holland and Friesland with mountains of coal and manure on board, and now as a luxury passenger ship on the waters of the Netherlands.
