Amsterdam IJburg

Amsterdam IJburg

IJburg is a relatively new district in the Greater Amsterdam and is located in the east. In 1999 began the embedding of the artificial islands, referencing a rectangular city map. The harbor is located on the east side of the islands, on the IJmeer. The urban area is very modern and perfect for water sports enthusiasts and people who want to get into nature because it is close to Amsterdam's largest natural and urban park, Diemenpark.

About harbor IJburg

Today the three islands of IJburg, Steigereiland, Haveneiland and Rieteilanden are a popular area where you can not only live in a beautiful and modern way, but also choose from a plethora of restaurants. Whether from luxurious restaurants to small cafés, there is something fun to find. It was the first harbor in the world to be built using sustainable and environmentally friendly Accoya wood.
