Makkum harbour

Makkum, also known as the 'gateway to the Wadden Sea', is one of the beautiful fishing villages on the IJsselmeer in Friesland. The harbour is close to a nature reserve and forms part of the landscape and infrastructure of Makkum. The picturesque centre of Makkum with its historic shops and cosy restaurants is within walking distance of the harbour.

About the harbour in Makkum

The port of Makkum is situated against the city centre. You can find the characteristic features of the town here. It also has good facilities such as water taps, toilets and power supply. Makkum is a departure port for ships to the IJsselmeer, the Wadden Sea and the Frisian lakes.
