Lelystad Bataviahaven

For the drainage in the east of Flevoland, a working island was built in the middle of the IJsselmeer. Today this area is the Bataviahaven, which is also the oldest part of Lelystad.

About Lelystad Bataviahaven

The Bataviahaven lies on the IJsselmeer. In the harbour there is a barbecue island and directly at the harbour there are several restaurants. Some beautiful sights are only a few minutes away. These include the Bataviastad Fashion Outlet with around 145 shops open 7 days a week, the Batavialand Museum, where you can learn all about the recultivation of Flevoland, and the Batavia shipyard with the Batavia, a reconstruction of a 17th century VOC ship.
